We went this week end for the first time. Its a bit of a drive for us...over 100 km one way but its a family tradition to do the drive in when vacationing up north. Sadly Owen Sound closed so naturally we were so pleased to discover Hanover drive in. The staff were so nice and friendly...and even gave us easier and faster directions back to our cottage. Loved it! New family tradition has begun!! Only issue I had was how small the bathroon doors were (or rather how high up from the ground they are) felt a bit awkward and not super private.
Awesome place to go catch a double, triple or even a quadruple feature! Can't beat the price! Best fries and movie popcorn! Nice friendly staff. The guy who you see when you pull up to pay is always smiling and happy!ONE WORD OF ADVICE, when parking in the front row. Do not park beside a newer model HONDA CR-V - DARK SILVER in colour, licence plate # ASHM 801 with the licence plate trim cover Hanover Honda printed on the frame (they always park in the front row). This couple talks throughout the entire movie without any consideration for others who are sitting outside their cars or have their windows rolled down trying to enjoy the nice summer weather. Even after asking them to be quiet they continue to talk and talk and talk.... I've seen them there on multiple occasions and they do the same thing every time. The female is on her phone for the whole 4 hours. The glow of the bright light is distracing to others (along with the constant chatter of her commenting to everything in the movie). They both must be on their phones because the entire inside of their HONDA CR-V is glowing with light. This must be also be distracting to anyone parked in the row behind them... They are extremely rude and should be BANNED! If you want to talk, then stay home and watch a movie by yourselves.
The drive in in Owen sound closed down due to too few people coming. So I think it's very important to support our last drive in in this area. You get 2 movies for ten bucks, very affordable. Plus watching a movie outdorrs in a beautiful summer night is always special. Great snack bar. Yummy popcorn. Lots of room for the kids to run around and play toll movie starts. I just love it
Decent place but they allow trucks and mini Van's to park in first 3or4 rows so people in cars can't see past very well.
We've been going to this drive-in since we first camped here in 2005 and love it. Kids love playing in front of the screen before movies, lots of room for them to run around and burn off steam. Movies are current and you can't beat the price, especially on long weekends when they show 3 or 4 movies in a row! I'll warn the ladies, there's a huge line up for the washroom between movies, pack your patience and try not to be jealous of the fact that the men's has no line up!A lovely bit of nostalgia that's worth the drive.
